Twinmusix chat with Peter from As A Rival about their new Album and more
What can fans expect from yours from your new album "Bring Out The Dead"?
We had 2 months to work on 50 songs, then we all went into the studio and worked on that together.
How did you decide that "Bring Out the Dead" would be your new single on your album?
We thought it was catchy, minimal and not many lyrics were repeated in the song it also has a big chorus.
How did you come up with your album cover and who designed it?
A guy called "Thrash Wolf" did it for us. He has also worked with artists like Pink.
What gear do you use on stage compared to what you use in the studio?
Explorer guitar, Wizard Amp, JMI Amp, Marshall Amps, Pearl Kit.
How did you come up with your band name?
I was talking to the bass player as we were talking about what we wanted the band to be and I said I just wanted it to be different as a rival to anything else out there and then I said how about "As A Rival".
If you could have any band play one of your songs which song which band and in your style or theirs?
Nine Inch Nails in their style playing Standing Still.
What's your favourite moment of your fans?
Our last album launch we did Cherry Bar Melbourne and our fans we're singing and dancing along.
If you could pick any music festival to play at which would you choose?
Reading and Leeds festival it's a important festival.
Do you have any advice for up and coming bands?
If you want to book a show in a different state go and book it do just sit around and wait for someone else to do it.
Anything else you want to announce to your fans?
I just watched our clip bring out the dead so hopefully it will have to be out this week or next week.
