ASH REVIEW
Northern Irish rock band Ash and Western Sydney band So I Says to Mabel played at the Manning Bar last night and they put on an epic show.
So I Says to Mabel is a 3-piece punk band from Western Sydney and they kicked off the night at the Manning Bar. As they kicked off their set with "Angry Hole, Talking and Circles", the experience was electrifying and they showcased their raw energy and musical powers. The upbeat rhythms, driving guitar riffs, ferocious drumming and punk vocals injected energy into the crowd and we wanted more. They continued with "Fake Happy, Stupid Ex, Say It and Super Emo". Then the band continued with a cover of "Taylor Swift's" song "Love Story" in a Punk rock version and everyone was singing along, it was an epic spin on a great song. They then continued to slam their way through their hits "Euro, Were Not the Same, and Get Out The Way" and they pumped us up for the main act.

Ash consists of three epic members, Tim Wheeler on vocals and guitar, Rick McMurray on drums and Mark Hamilton on bass and this trio knew how to rock.
As Ash walked on the stage, the lights went dim, and we got a spectacular light show as they kicked off the set with "Goldfinger, Wildsurf and A Life Less Ordinary". It got the ball rolling and set off a spark inside our souls, that got us ready for the rest of the night. The mix of solid guitars and catchy rhythms set a mood, that the fans connected with and it made you feel alive. As the kick-ass rock songs continued with "Angel Interceptor, Jack Names the Planets, Orpheus and Race the Night". The baselines ploughed throughout the room and shook the floor of the venue.
The band's aura of confidence continued as they played "Confessions in the Pool, Shining Light, Walking Barefoot and Sometimes". The delicate harmonies, stellar drums, bold instrumentation and rising and powerful choruses, filled the room with a haze of bittersweet nostalgia and perfect pop power. As Ash unleashed their songs "Oh Yeah, Braindead, Kung Fu and Girl From Mars" the mighty force filled our hearts. The jam session continued and the roaring lyrics reached new boundaries, Ash was living up to the legacy of their epic music.

As Ash walked off the stage, the crowd cheered for more. Ash came back on stage and said "Thank You so much for having us back, this one is called "Crashed Out Wasted". The band finished off the set with their most anticipated song of the night "Burn Baby Burn".
Ash finished off their set and they still remain a force to be reckoned with, they wrote a new story in our book and reminded us that there are still memories to make that we will write on these pages.
