Twinmusix talk to Lindsay from Cradle of Filth about their Australian Tour and more
TM - What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
LS - we have been doing this set for quite a while now and the Australian fans get to meet the new band members from the last 4 years, I think Cradle of Filth fans are going to see a new side to Cradle of Filth that they haven't seen yet.
TM - What stage do you use on stage compared to what you use in the studio?
LS - At home I use a simulated grand piano and I use a midi controller live.
TM - How did you pick the setlist for this tour?
LS - It's something we discussed way in advance, we say what we want and have a group voting.
TM - How did you come to join Cradle of Filth?
LS - It is very very strange I was in university at the time and I had a friend that was asked to join but she couldn't do it and she suggested me and they contacted me and offered me the position.
TM - Can you talk us to through the process of Cradle of Filth putting an album together?
LS - We get a bunch of riffs and ideas and put them all into a Dropbox folder, and Martin look said that and kind of Frankenstein set and puts it all together and we work on the songs from their.
TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song would it be and in your style or their style?
LS - King Diamond in his style.
TM - How is your solo album going?
LS - It is going very well the last two years I've been working on it with the collaborator and will announce it later this year.
TM - How did you come to get signed by Nuclear Blast?
LS - We were very very lucky we were at the end of our time with our last record label and came to get signed by nuclear blast.
TM - what was your favourite gig that you've got someone else play?
LS - Going to watch the Backstreet Boys play with my friend.
TM - If you had to choose any song title to be a biography title what would you choose and why?
LS - Cradle to Enslave because it's kind of like Stockholm Syndrome but if you push it on me long enough I grow to love this band.
TM - Anything else you'd like to announce to your fans?
LS - It's exciting to be back here after 5 years and are really looking forward to our shows.
