Crownshift

TM - Hi, This is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Crownshift, Thank You for having this interview with us today, we appreciate it.

CS - My pleasure.

TM - For fans who haven't listened to your new album, what can they expect?

CS - They can expect a wide variety of metal music in one album. It's going to be one hell of a roller coaster. The singles that they have already heard give you a little bit of an idea of what is coming but there are going to be some surprises. I think they should check out our album it is going to be an interesting one.

TM - What was your writing and recording process?

CS - We start with the structure of a song and then I demo that with the instruments and program the drums. Then I send it to the other guys and we work remotely. Then everyone gets to throw in their own spices and then we arranged it and we recorded the instrument by instrument. It was smooth and on this album. I did the engineering and recording except the drums so it was a lot of work for me and then we hired another guy to mix and master it.

TM - Who designed your album cover and is there a meaning behind it?

CS - Rummy designed our album cover. He has worked for Apocalyptica and a lot of top metal bands. He is a top guy there is a little bit of meaning behind our album cover, it is very mysterious. There is a ruler or x ruler in the picture of the face so it depends on how you want to interpret that. we will continue that theme and reveal more next time, so stay tuned.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

CS - I would love Foo Fighters to play My Prison in their style.

TM - What was the first band you saw live as a kid and did it inspire you to play music?

CS - I don't remember but I do remember what inspired me to play guitar. It was Guns and Roses. "You Could Be Mine from Use Your Illusion" that made me gravitate to guitar and listen to metal music.

TM - you played for Children of Bodom, how was that?

CS - I did tours in Japan and South America, Europe and the USA with them and all those two words were really special.

TM - You said what got you into music was Guns and Roses, have you seen them live and if you have how was the experience?

CS - I got to see Guns and Roses in 2017 which was important because I wanted to see Duff and Slash and the Axl. It was a pretty cool show I'm really happy I got to go and see them because they have been on my bucket list forever.

TM - You are going on tour are you excited?

CS - We are going to start doing shows on the 15th of May and then we have our album release show and then right after that I'll summer festival season kicks in.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

CS - Thank you for your support and please check out our album, I hope you will like it and come and check us out on tour.
