ELUVEITIE REVIEW
Last night sydney was witness to the amazing power of Eluveitie, a folk metal powerhouse band from Switzerland and they rocked Manning Bar last night . The band has grown from humble beginnings into an amazing band that delights fans with its traditional folk instruments and death metal music.
Eluveitie have so many instruments on stage that play together in perfect harmony. They perform their set with Drums, Vocals, Mandola & Mandolin, Tin & Low Whistles, Bagpipes, Bodhràn, Session Hurdygurdy, Guitars, Bass, violin, Fiddle and a Harp and it really is an incredible sight to behold.
Last night Eluveitie played heavy music as the band have been experimenting with different genres, but also went back to their folk metal roots and gave the fans some of their traditional music.
There was a wide variety of music played last night, all with Eluveitie’s touch and the fans loved it. They played some upbeat songs as well as delivering fierce vocals and gracefully beautiful counterparts. This really is one of the key elements of Eluveitie's music.
The harp is also present in their music and added great entertainment. The great guitar work drew you into the set and the additional excitement was the violin, Bagpipes and the Fiddle.
We got to listen to Eluveitie play a virety of different songs including "Deathwalker, Quoth the Raven, A Cry In The Wilderness, Helvetios and Inis Mona". All of Eluveitie's songs were outstanding live and everyone in the audience was mesmerised.
