ENSIFERUM REVIEW
Last night Ensiferum played at the Manning Bar with support acts Temtris and The Plague. Powerful vocals went through the venue from start to finish and it was a night that will be impossible to forget. The Plague kicked off the set with pure metal and it acted as a great way to proceed into the following acts.
Next up was Sydney's one and only Temtris. Genevieve's vocals were phenomenal and the band pulled off an impressive performance. Temtris are definitely one one my favorite bands on the Australian scene and if you haven't heard them yet I definitely recommend that you check them out.
Ensiferum were up next, they walked out on stage one by one and the crowd started cheering you could tell everyone was excited for the shoe. Ensiferum opened their set with "For Those About To Fight" and continued their show with "Two Pahts, Heathen Horde and Twilight Tavern".
"LAI LAI HEI" was up next, this song is bassed off Finnish which is the bands traditional language. Next up was "Warrior without a war, From After, Wanderer, Way Of The Warrior and Two Of Spades" the headbanging was in full force, the mosh pit was intense and the circle pit was moving.
Ensiferum walked off stage and crowd started chanting for one more song but Ensiferum played three more of their songs "Guardians of Fate, In my sword I trust" and "Iron" everyone started dancing around the mosh pit along to the insanely catchy songs. As everyone thought the set was over Petri started playing "Sweet Child of Mine" on the guitar behind his head.
Ensiferum put on a fantastic show full of metal and power, I definitely recommend catching a show if you haven't already.
