Twinmusix got to speak to Daniel from  Ghostseeker about their new album and more.

TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix, and we are here with Daniel from Ghost Seeker. Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

DL - Thank you.

TM - What can fans expect from your new album “Divergence”?

DL - Heavy Riffs, Catchy Melodies and angry yelling from yours truly. We have a lot of cool things from this album. We show our versatility in this album, so it is worth a listen.

TM - What was your writing and recording process for “Divergence”?

DL -
Typically, the guys will converge and write some cool tracks. Then Celeste and I listen to them, and then we sit down with the tracks and we have a discussion to see who would like to do what parts and who suits the parts. We talk about what we want the songs to be about and go from there, usually, it is a good collaborative effort.

TM - What's your favourite song off this new Album?

DL - Wake Up (Imposter), it is a lot of fun for me to perform, and I like the heavy elements.

TM - How did you come up with the Album cover for “Divergence”?

DL - The inspiration comes from the lyrics from “Divergence”. We have 10 songs on the record, and three of them are your typical ghost seeker songs. We have dived into a concept and the concept that we went with was the rapid rise in technology, mostly in the A.I. section. We noticed that most people see the benefits of it and see it as a normal progression of where things are going and then you have the Doomsday Preppers on the other side who think it's going to be the end of the world. We thought it would be cool to write from their perspective as if they were right and have this doomsday and apocalyptic technological and Wasteland scape, and that's what you can see shining through in the album artwork.

TM - How did you come up with your video for "Wake Up (Imposter)"?

DL -
We wanted to play on The Imposter syndrome side of the lyrics. That is where you see the fight, and there are two sides with the black and the white outfits battling against each other, not knowing which one is which and trying to get yourself out of this funk.

TM - How did you come up with your video for "Internment"?

DL - That was the first video that we shot by ourselves, and we had a storyline that we were going with, it is an entrapment against your own real type of Feeling, and we were concerned with trying to make it look cool.

TM - What's your favourite memory with your fans?

DL - Anyone who comes and chats to us at shows, we appreciate it.

TM - What's your favourite memory of watching someone else perform live?

DL - "Fever 333 and Jason Aalon Alexander Butler", He is insane, I have seen him climb scaffolding that is 30 meters in the air and watch him dangle there while he performs it is pretty insane.

TM - Who was the first band or Artist you saw live, and can you tell us a story?

DL - A local band from when I was a kid, a band called My Own Enemy. I saw them play live and I thought they were the coolest thing ever, then I found out that the bass player went to my school and I annoyed him a lot.

TM - Did they influence you to play?

DL - Absolutely, I learnt how to do vocal techniques after talking to their vocalist, they had their imprint on me.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs, what band would it be, what song would it be, and would it be in your style or their style?

DL - I would like to hear Bennie play one of her songs in her style. I would like to hear her do "Wake Up (Imposter)" because I think she would do some cool things.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

DL - Thank you for listening, Thank you for everything, continue to show your friends, show your parents, show your family members, and make sure we get to tour the world because we want to come and see all of you.
