IN HEARTS WAKE REVIEW
Four epic bands PALEFACE SWISS, KING 810, Gravemind and In Hearts Wake played in Sydney last night at liberty hall and we got to witness all the crunching riffs, pummelling drum beats and vocalis that sent the crowd into an automatic frenzy from the first song.
Gravemind from Melbourne was first up with Karl Steller on Drums, Damon Bredin on Guitar, Aden Young on Guitar, Miki Simankevicius on Guitar and Bailey Schembri on Vocals, they showcased the band’s ability to blend heavy instrumentation with epic drum beats and crushing melodies with catchy vocals. As they kicked off their set with 'The Effigy', 'Reveal' and 'Fear'. As Gravemind continued with their impressive and engaging songs 'Deathtouch', 'Hollow', 'Phantom Pain' and 'Volgin', the tempo and industrial sound showed the layered complexity of their music.

Next up was KING 810, an American nu-metal band from Flint, Michigan and they brought their A-game to Liberty Hall with their masks on. The band kicked off their set with 'Hurry Hurry Ahura Mazda', 'Alpha & Omega' and 'Brains on the Asphalt', the guitar tones and choruses immediately engaged the listeners and the raw energy hyped up the crowd. As the band continued with 'Fat Around the Heart', 'Vendettas' and 'Killem All', the music echoed through the venue with David Gunn on vocals, Eugene Gill on Bass, Andrew Workman on drums and Andrew Beal on guitar and they brought an innovating and unique sound that had me hooked from start to finish.

The one and only PALEFACE SWISS were ready to play and Marc (Zelli) with vocals, Yannick on Guitar, Tommy on Bass and Cassi on Drums killed it. As PALEFACE SWISS kicked off their set with 'Please End Me' and 'The Orphan', the Ferocious beats and fast-paced guitars with perfect harsh vocals filled the room. As the band continued to display their musical talent with 'Best Before Death', 'Suppressing Times', 'Nail to the Tooth' and 'The Gallow', PALEFACE SWISS caught the attention of the audience and they came to destroy your ear drums in the best way. PALEFACE SWISS made their set a highlight of the night.

In Hearts Wake from Byron Bay, were up next. The band consists of Jake Taylor on vocals, Kyle Erich on Bass, Conor Ward on drums, Ben Nairne on Rhythm guitar and Eaven Dall on guitar. The lights went dim and as In Hearts Wake walked on stage the crowd roared. They kicked off their set with 'Spitting Nails' and 'The Flood', the tempo changing and head crushing mayhem began.
Jake came on stage and asked the fans if anyone had listened to their new album and the crowd cheered. Then he told everyone, that Kyle who had been In Hearts Wake for 12 years was leaving and everyone was sad. It was a bittersweet performance as we got to see Kyle play for his last night. The band continued playing 'Traveller (The Fool)', 'Departure (Death)', 'Gaia' and 'Earthwalker' and the fans formed a circle pit.
In Hearts Wake delivered guitar riffs, punchy drums and grinding bass lines which showed the band played with perfect precision and it all came together seamlessly. As they continued to play 'Wildflower', 'Aether', 'Skydancer' and 'Breakaway' the blast beats, crunchy riffs, and nasty vocals were insane, the fans approved of this music and ran at each other in a wall of death.
