Infected rain

TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Lena from Infected Rain. Thank You for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

LA - Thank You for having me.

TM - You are coming to Australia, are you excited and what can fans expect from your set?

LA - We are very excited because it is our very first time performing in Australia. We also get to do it with the amazing Cradle of Filth. When it comes to expectations I would expect everyone to have none. I think it is better because everything you get is a surprise. I can only guarantee you one thing, we will bring a lot of energy and we will be connected to you a lot.

TM - Can you give us any hints about your setlist?

LA - Yes, for now it is not set in stone but majority of the songs will be from the album "Time" that we just released. We really want to play the new songs and present our new material. We also want to play some of our beloved songs that the crowd have requested over the years.

TM - How have fans responded to your new album "Time"?

LA - The album is loved and the reaction is fantastic. It felt like the album touched people on a different level and a lot of people who were not familiar with the bands discovered that they liked the genre.

TM - What was your writing and recording process for your new album?

LA - We have our own routine of what works best for our band of what when and how it is definitely unique for everybody. This album has a comparison to the previous ones. It is our first conceptual album and I found it very interesting to get lost in one topic and bring it in such diverse ways through songs. Some songs are completely different but it still brings a main theme to the album.

TM - How did you come up with your Album cover and is there a meaning behind it?

LA - We kept that specifically for people to see what they want to see. Vadim "Vidick" Ojog our guitar player is very talented when it comes to visuals. He produced and edited all our videos as well, it was his work and he had a few versions of the idea. It was everyone's decision and we wanted it to look like you were in an hourglass.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

LA - I would like to see Lady Gaga play 'Vivarium'. I think she is absolutely amazing and it will be an honour for her to perform our stuff.

TM - That would be cool to see Lady Gaga cover your music. She is super talented and can see more than one genre.

TM - What was the first ever band you saw as a kid and did it influence you to play music?

LA - As a child I didn't go to shows because our country didn't have many shows. I was 13 or 14 and this girl from my class and i went and saw a soft rock Russian artist with her mum. We saw Zemfira, she was a great artist and we really liked her music because it was all over the radio stations. I remember asking my mum if I could go with her and her mum and it was ok with my Mum. I had to work extra hard for that ticket, I was working for some money here and there. It was a big show and there were about 3,000 people. It did not impact me to be a musician. One of the biggest shows I saw was at 17 and I went to Italy. I had never been to a metal festival before and I went by myself from Rome to Florence on a train and the headliner of that festival was Korn that was a cool festival. I also got to see soulfly and Him. I knew these bands and I wanted to explore different types of metal. I was watching from the front of this stage thinking I wonder what it's like to have so many eyes looking at you.

I was 23 and I was asked to sing some stuff in the rehearsal room for fun and that's how everything started. I was already a hair and makeup artists and had my own path in my career that I had chosen and I thought that's what I was always going to do because I loved it but music definitely took over.

TM - Is there antything else you want to say to your fans?

LA - Thank You, you gave us your time you chose that yourself, you choose to listen to us over many other things you could do. Thank You for choosing to give us your time about listening to diwan or visiting our shows.

TM - Thank You for having this interview with us today we really appreciate it.

LA - Thank you.
