We got to speak to John Corabi about his upcoming Australian tour and more.
TM - What can fans expect from your Australian tour?
JC - An absolutely miserable time, no talent, nothing but the drink should be good. No you know what sweetie I'm so excited to come down this is my first trip as a solo artist to Australia. I am also very excited because my son is the drummer he has never been there before. I am looking to coming down and having a few nights of fun with a few thousand of my Australian friends so I can come back down on a more regular basis.
TM - What are you most looking forward to doing with your son while you're in Australia?
JC - We aren't going to be able to do much since we don't leave here till the 25th, we only have one day off so we won't have time to do much besides create a fanbase in Australia as John Corabi.
TM - It is your 25th anniversary for Motley Crue 94 what inspired you to do a solo tour?
JC - Silverback touring asked us to do this specifically but I can tell you this and take it to the bank, these photos are the last ever for shows doing this entire set in its entirety.
TM - Your releasing your 94 album Live on CD vinyl and cassette what made you want to do this?
JC - The record label decided to do that and they were sold out in 24 hours.
TM - That is cool, and they sold out in such a short period of time. I would buy one too.
JC - People don't even have players anymore to play cassette tapes they just buy them to get signed.
TM - You added the 10,000 mile track off your Japanese record, what inspired you to add it to the record?
JC - We need an encore because we needed to present the whole Motley Crue record in its entirety so it seemed like a good one to do and that night. We had some people yell out for that song you played it recorded it and I said you know what let's put it on the record as well.
TM - You are doing it a lot of acoustic shows what made you want to start this?
JC - I have always liked doing the Acoustics that shows. I started off on acoustic guitar and it's quite easy I get acoustic guitar get in my vehicle I do shows and goes over well with everyone.
TM - Do you think you will do a orchestra tour?
JC - I would love to but first I want to come down and establish myself after I come back from Australia. I am going to go into the studio and write a new record
I'm hoping to go out August with my band and do a tour with the States.
TM - I have been listening to some of your stories including that story with Nikki Sixx when you have the half way out the door can you tell us that story?
JC - People ask me how I got in the band and basically Nikki did a interview and I called him to say Thank You as I was on tour with my band. The scream and our last show was in LA and I was leaving to do my sound check for the gig, then Motley crue called me talked to me about my other band and a few days later I was asked to join the band as Vince just left.
TM - If you could have any bands play one of your songs which band would it be which song would it be and would it be in your style or their Style?
JC - Steven Tyler from Aerosmith to sing one of our songs in this style.
TM - If you could collaborate with anyone who would it be and why?
JC - Paul McCartney Steven Tyler and Jimmy Page
TM - Whats your favorite memory of watching someone else perform live?
JC - Queen with Freddie Mercury it was unbelievable.
TM - Anything else you want to say to your fans?
