Twinmusix got to speak to Kone from Lordi about their upcoming album and more.

TM - Hi, this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Kone from Lordi, thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

KE - Thank You for having me.

TM - What can fans expect from your Upcoming tour?

KE - The fans can expect Loud noises, new songs, old songs and everything in between. We will also have some incredible theatrics and horror.

TM - What can fans expect from your album "Limited Deadition" if they haven't listened to it?

KE - It is a good album, I love it. It is pretty much your classic Lordi album, it is good old hard rock with incredible songs and a lot of guitar solos and this album has my new favourite song.

TM - What's your favourite song off the new album?

KE - It is "Hellizabeth" and we have already released the music video for that song. The song is stuck in my head and I have been listening to it since we recorded it.

TM - How did you come up with the music video for "Hellizabeth"?

KE - I think it was all Mr Lordi's doing. He is incredible with music videos and he has an incredible eye for visuals. The recording was good, everyone worked on their own tracks but we did the rhythm guitar tracks in a studio and multiple people were involved and that was nice instead of playing at home at your computer. I played the solos at home though.

TM - What was your writing and recording process for your Album "Limited Deadition"?

KE - We live on opposite sides of the country so there are a lot of files being sent back and forward and Mr Lordi is in charge. He asked everyone in the band for their input. He custom ordered some guitar riffs from me like could you make the guitar riffs like this or that. Mr Lordi and I sat down together and went through some ideas and there is a ballad on the album and that came out of that session.

TM - How did you come up with your Album cover and Who designed it?

KE - Mr Lordi does all the album covers and all the visuals. I'm not sure if it is hand painted but I know he does a lot of hand paintings. I love his skills with painting and making the costumes, it has been wonderful to get to see some of his work in person and how he gets into it.

TM - Who was the first band you saw live and can you tell us a story?

KE - I think I was 5 or 6 years old and there was a Finnish kid's band called "Fröbelin Palikat". I was very interested in music as a small kid and I asked my parents to take me every chance I got.

My first actual memory was in 2006, I went to an Iron Maiden concert that was incredible and magical, they were playing "A Matter of Life and Death" from start to finish.

TM - What a cool first concert.

TM - What's your favourite memory of watching someone else perform live, can you tell us a story?

KE - I'm not sure if it is my favourite memory, but the first thing that comes to my mind is Iron Maiden in 2008, it was an incredible tour, it was the "Somewhere Back in Time" tour. They played "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and as Bruce Dickinson was making a speech about the song there was a seagull that flew over the stadium and that seemed cool. He mentioned a seagull and said this is not what to do when a bird s**** on you and that was fantastic.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

KE - Iron Maiden, I think it would be cool for them to play "Lucyfer Prime Evil" or a Def Leppard version of "Retropolis" that would be cool in their style.

TM - What's your favourite memory with your fans?

KE - I have been in the band for 3 years now and we do meet and greets. They are fantastic because it is an anonymous band but we were costumes so there was not a lot of chance for us to meet the fans in person. Meet and greets are great because everyone gets a chance to have a quick word with us and take a picture with us. I was nervous about doing them at first and had no idea what they would be like but they are very chill and it is fantastic seeing the people who truly want to meet us. I love seeing the happiness in people's eyes and I love being a part of that and providing that experience.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

KE - Thank You everybody for your ongoing support in live music.

TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

KE - Thank you for this interview, it was pleasant.
