Twinmusix chat with Colton from Sink the Ship About his new album and more.

 what can fans expect from your new Album?

A little bit of what you have listened to in 2009 combined it with some newer stuff, we are a little bit of an emo whiny band.

What was your Writing and recording process for your new Album Persevere?

My guitarist Brandon and i write the music, we normally go back and forth and write the songs together. As far as recording goes we recorded this album in France with Erick and Bert which was awesome experience.

How did you come up with your album cover for Persevere?

Mike (the artwork designer) and and i were texting and throwing around ideas. We wanted to keep it as an underwater theme as we wanted it too much the band name and album title.

 How did you come up with your band name?

 We were all sitting around talking one day and we knew that we wanted our banner in to be themed around pirates and boats, so someone said sink the ship and that's the name we ended up with.

 How did you come up with your video clip for domestic dispute?

We had a day off in France then we weren't recording our new album, so the record label booked us a video shoot for that song and a second song, we shot at a location owned by Erick and Bert's cousin and half the property was nice and half the property wasn't so nice. so we shot one song on the property that wasn't good looking and one song in the house. It was a 12 hour vedio shoot.

If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be which song and in your style or theirs?

 I would love A Day To Remember to do one of our songs in their style.

On your albums how do you decide which songs are going to be singles?

We sat down and thought about which songs would be most appealing to our fans, so we had a discussion and came to a happy medium.

Can you tell us a funny story that's happened well you were on tour?

 We were in France and we tried to order a pizza in French and they gave us the wrong pizza that was a good time.
