BAD MOON BORN AND SKILLET

4/04/2024

Bad Moon Born and Skillet killed it at the Enmore Theatre last night. All the music we rocked out to was Engineered to smack your eardrums right in the sweet spot and every song did exactly that.

First up was Bad Moon Born and they kicked off the set with "Promised Land and Chemical Lullaby" the songs were energetic with fast drumming and harmonised guitars and it pulled you in for the rest of the set. As Bad Moon Born continued with "Road Warrior and Carry On" The crushing bass guitar riffs were mindblowing and the crazy breakdowns were insane. They knew how to kick off a set and get the crowd pumped for the next band.

Skillet hit the ground running with their song "Invincible" and the concert was in full force from the word go. As Skillet continued their set with "Surviving The Game, Legendary and  Awake And Alive" Frontman John Cooper delivered gritty, soulful vocals that cut through the air with an unmistakable sound and commanded the audience’s attention. Korey Cooper's Guitar work was powerful and her massive riffs pulled you in and made you excited for the next song.

Skillet continued their set with "Hero, Not Gonna Die and Anchor" This series of songs made for a powerful display of Skillet's classic rock inspired sound and showed their chemistry as a band. As Jen Ledger delivered Punchy and Snappy drum beats it showed you why they are amazing musicians.

As Skillet played one of their most popular song "Monster" the passion shined through the crowd and everyone's genuine love for Skillet ignited a fire in their hearts. Everyone person was left wanting more and Seth Morrison played Phenomenal lead guitar with Bright and Smooth riff lines.

As Skillet played their last song we were sad that the gig was over. Skillet rocked in the best way possible, they were Fully loaded with big riffs and rock, not to mention their lyrics dripping songs.  Don’t believe anyone if they tell you ‘rock is dead.’ because Skillet proved it is alive and in full force.
