Supersuckers

TM - Hi this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Eddie from Supersuckers, Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

EE - Thank you.

TM - what can fans expect from your Australian tour?

EE - We are going to come out there and rock your pants off because that's what we do.

TM - what can fans expect from your setlist?

EE - We will be playing all the favorites and we will be playing some of our new songs because we will have a new record coming out and we will do just what we do.

TM - What's your favourite song to play live?

EE - Usually our newer songs are more fun to play Live because we haven't played them a thousand times. I am enjoying the new songs we are playing right now.

TM - You have a new album coming out can you tell us more about that?

EE - We recorded it a while ago now and it has been a long process and it is just about finished. It is just another awesome record in the Canon of the Supersuckers gold.

TM - Is it the same as your old stuff or have you gone a different direction for this album?

EE - No, we always try and do the same style of record.

TM - What was your writing and recording process?

EE - It is kind of the same like it always is. I make up most of these songs on my own and I bring them to the band then we suss them out and we change them quite a bit. Then we get in the studio and knock it out and then we go on tour.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

EE - I would like to hear a band like the Foo Fighters do our song "Dead Inside", then it would be a hit. I would also love to hear AC/DC do our song "History of Rock N Roll", AC/DC is one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time.

TM - Who was the first band or artist you saw live and can you tell us a story?

EE - In 1979 I went to see Fleetwood Mac and the opening artist was Christopher Cross who had a song called "Sailing" and he was really popular at the time. He came out and had this double necked guitar and I thought it was so cool. I was too young at the time to realize that Christopher Cross was not cool. I thought it was great and I couldn't believe I was in the same building with people who made songs that were on the radio. I was just blown away with that.

TM - Did that influence you to play music?

EE - I had got bitten by the bug by then and it was right around the time that the song My Sharona by The Knack came out. That was this song that made me decide I wanted to play rock and roll.

TM - Do you have a favourite band you have seen live and can you tell us a story?

EE - I like seeing bands I know like Zeke or Zen Guerrilla they were amazing and The Hangmen are great. They are not fans that people pay attention to in the big scheme of things. They are not U2 or Coldplay but they are way better.

TM - You are doing your Upcoming tour with Nashville Pussy that will be awesome.

EE - We love those guys and we have known them forever. They are like family so it's going to be a great tour.

TM - Is there anything you are looking forward to seeing in Australia?

EE - I love it down there and it is going to be Summertime down there while it is winter here.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

EE - Come to the show and tell a friend to come to the show and tell them to bring a friend. Bring three people with you that haven't heard the band.

TM - Thank You for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

EE - Thank You for helping us spread the word about our shows we appreciate it.
