Twinmusix got to speak to Jackson Wetherbee from The Elovaters about their upcoming tour and more.

TM - Hi this is Amelia and Elizabeth from Twinmusix and we are here with Jackson Wetherbee from The Elovaters, thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

JW - Nice to talk to you guys.

TM - Nice to talk to you.

TM - What can fans expect from your tour?

JW - We have been growing pretty rapidly in America so we have a pretty seasoned show. We are super tight and we just want to bring what we have been working on for the past 6 years to you guys. Hopefully, it translates across well, we would love to start building a fan base over there so we can let everyone know what our live sound is like.

TM - You also added an extra show in New Zealand without The Original Wailers that is cool.

JW - Yeah in Wellington, we are super excited for that show as well.

TM - What can fans expect from your setlist?

JW - We are going to be playing a lot of our new album Endless Summer mixed in with a lot of our older albums and a lot of our biggest and funnest songs. We always try to play is a Meridian of our album Defy Gravity and we will try to bring an exciting and energetic show. We will try and get as much crowd involvement as possible here. In the United States we have a lot of back and forth vocally with the crowd so we were going to see if we can get the crowd involved in Australia as well.

TM - Do you have a favourite song to play live?

JW - One of our newest songs Sky High featuring the band Dirty Heads, that one has been super fun to play. The lead Singers of Dirty Heads Jared "Dirty J" Watson has a super difficult verse but I learned it so that is always super fun every night.

TM - You also brought out your Endless Summer deluxe album can you tell us more about it.

JW - We wanted to put out some different versions of our songs and include different artists. We redid one of our songs Wind On My Back to be a little similar to our live version that we play.

TM - What's your favourite memory with your fans?

JW - The first time that we played at Red Rocks we all looked at each other and I couldn't believe that we had the honour to play there. There are so many bands that never get their chance and we have played there three times now and it is always a big moment.

TM - Are there any tourist attractions you want to see in Australia?

JW - I would love to say everything, it is one of those places that we have all wanted to go to as a band and individually. I haven't set an expectation because we are going to have a pretty busy schedule so I just wanted to take it all in and hopefully build some structure where we can just keep coming back.

TM - If you could have any band play one of your songs what band would it be, what song would it be and would it be in your style or their style?

JW - I'm not sure what song but if The Police got back together, I would want them to cover one of my songs in their style.

TM - Did they influence you to play?

JW - Absolutely, I have been listening to The Police since I was a little kid.

TM - What was the first band or Artist you saw live as a kid and can you tell us a story?

JW - My first concert was Weird Al Yankovic because my friends and I won tickets when we were 14 years old. We had his parents take us and we got to go backstage and meet him.

TM - That's an awesome first concert experience, I wish I had seen Weird Al live as a kid.

TM - What's your favourite band you have seen live?

JW - The most amazing show I have ever seen live is Coldplay they just put so much energy into making an amazing show and there are a lot of energetic moments. There was one moment where the Spotlight hit Chris Martin and he grabbed a lantern and ran into the crowd and ran up and down the aisles while he was singing and I was like this is insane, it was super cool.

TM - That's awesome, I wish I was there, what a cool experience.

TM - Is there anything else you want to say to your fans?

JW - It has been a long time coming and I cannot wait to meet all of you. We are going to leave everything that we've got every night on this stage and see you guys soon.

TM - Thank you for having this interview with us today we appreciate it.

JW - Thank You.
