Twinnusix chat to Joey Dandeneau from Theory of a deadman about there Australian tour and more

What can fans expect from your Australian tour?

We have never been to Australia before so this is going to be quite an adventure for us, we coming for the first time without any production or anything like that. We will be coming as a four piece band to play all the hits that everyone knows it's going to be more special for us because it will be more intimate with our fans.

How do you play with songs you are going to play on tour?

It depends what part of the world we are in it seems like different countries like different songs, so coming to Australia is going to be interesting for a set list because we don't know what has been received well and hasn't been received well.

How did fans respond to your album Wake Up Call?

They have to received that better than anyone for that would be received because it's such a massive change for us. For 15 years we were just a rock bands, this album has a lot of alternative changes to it but we are starting to see people like the chance of our music.

What was the writing and recording process for Wake Up Call?

We went to London and used a Pop Style producer who has worked with bands such as Train and Jason Maraz. Everything was live and stripped down off the floor. The producer played the piano and guitar with us and gave us ideas. We would start a song and drop it and start working on something else and came into the studio with a fresh mind every day.

how did you come up with your album cover for Wake Up Call?

We sat down and a band and what thought  what are we trying to convey to our audience.  so we thought having palm trees would be fitting and having the yellow would have the nice bright sun.

What brand and models of drums do you ues and any other Insturments you know of?

D drums, Sabian symbols, Remo drum Heads, promark sticks and DW hardware and pedals, Gibson guitars and Spector bass guitars.

If you could have any band play one of your songs which band would it be, which song would it be and in your style or theirs?

 Aerosmith playing straight jacket.

How did you come to join theory of a Deadman?

When the old drummer left he rang me and said I think you would be a perfect fit for theory of a Deadman would you be interested and i said yes so I went to Los Angeles did the audition and got the job.

Anything else you'd like to announce your fans?

were excited to come over and play in Australia.
